When I joined See Media in the middle of 2022, the housing sector was on the cusp of what would become a significant shift in how the sector operates and is perceived both by those within it, as well as the wider public.
In my interview, I was transparent about not having extensive prior knowledge of social housing, but I did know that ultimately when it comes to PR and comms we are simply trying to tell stories to the right people at the right time. And nowhere is this more important than housing.
My belief in telling people-led stories was echoed in the Social Housing White Paper, (coincidentally published the same month I joined See Media) which placed an emphasis on putting residents at the centre of all housing providers do. It proposed new mechanisms for resident input and pushed for more transparent communication from landlords.
Building human connections is the cornerstone of everything we do here. We empower residents to share their stories, consult with valued clients to navigate the challenging media landscape, and develop impactful campaigns that foster community. And there are no better people to do all this with than the rest of the See Media team.
