This year, See Media has been proud to support Zarach, a fantastic charity dedicated to tackling bed poverty and providing essential support to families in crisis.
As a team, we’ve raised an incredible £1,571 to provide children with the beds and basic resources they need for a better start in life. Founded by a deputy head-teacher, Zarach not only provides beds and bed bundles for a good night’s sleep but also allows children to go to school each morning well rested and ready to get the best from their education.
Starting the year with a £500 target, this was soon surpassed and a new goal set for £1,000. With a range of creative fundraising efforts, this target was also met and extended once again to £1,500, which we’re happy to have exceeded just in time for Christmas.
Fundraising activities included not one, but two 15-mile off-road runs around Balmoral and along Offa’s Dyke, giving up ‘posh’ coffees for an entire year (no small feat!), and even hosting an eBay sale, each contributing to our total, the equivalent of 10 full bed bundles including bed, mattress and bedding.
In addition to raising funds, we’ve also provided Zarach with 10 hours of free PR support to help amplify its fundraising campaigns and shine a spotlight on its vital work. Coverage secured has included the Hartlepool Mail, InYourArea and Housing Digital.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and are grateful to everyone who supported us and donated along the way. Every pound raised helps Zarach continue its mission to make sure “every head has a bed.”
