Having recently graduated university and keen to gain PR experience, I joined See Media as an intern during the summer of 2022.
The pandemic had put a stop to two work placements that I’d had planned and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a role in the industry without experience.
The See Media team didn’t expect me to have prior knowledge of the ins and outs of PR, which was really refreshing in a time where lots of entry-level roles seemed to have long requirements lists.
Throughout my placement, I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that not only helped me gain new skills, but also had a social impact. The team’s genuine belief in the power of housing was clear in the effort they put into fundraising for Homeful, a campaign to end homelessness.
Two years on, I have a full-time job in PR and I am really grateful to everyone from the See Media team for giving me an amazing start to my career.
