Change management

About the project

On this occasion, events had overtaken a large housing association in its attempt implement a change management process. This process meant some redundancies and disgruntled staff had leaked the story to the local paper. See Media was able to quickly open a channel of communications with the relevant journalist and understand their plans for the story. At the same time, we were working with our client to understand and outline their key messages. These were then quickly and simply set out in a press statement. This was communicated to the journalist, alongside an off-the-record phone briefing. Although the paper did publish the story, it was not prominent and it did contain a large section of verbatim quotes from the press statement we had prepared. The change management programme was able to proceed.
