Saba Salman

Biography

Saba Salman is a social affairs journalist who writes regularly for the Guardian.

A former Evening Standard local government and social affairs correspondent, her 20 years’ experience in media includes roles as a local paper news editor, a reporter for The Times and deputy editor of Housing Today. She has written for specialist weeklies such as Inside Housing, Building, The MJ and LGC and a variety of consumer titles including Marie Claire, Cosmo and Time Out.

Saba uses her communications expertise and knowledge of housing, social care and public sector issues in her editorial consultancy work for a range of charities, local government and housing organisations. She formerly edited the blog for disability care association VODG.

She is an RSA fellow and a board trustee for Sibs, a UK charity representing the needs of siblings of disabled people.
